All Post Ex should be completed by the end of
October, with Keyhole Reports being written in November. If you want to
have a go at doing a report (lots of material and support given) and
haven't yet discussed it with Pat, don't hold back!
Hunt the Saxons Publication
Preparation.
Monday 15th September - Sunday 2nd November.
The publication of the Hunt The Saxons 3
year project is a top priority. The importance of publishing the results
of any archaeological investigation cannot be stressed enough - whether
conducted by amateur groups such as ours, or by professionals.
A special thanks to Norman, Teddy and Mo for the
drawings.
Ospringe Field Walking.
November 2008.
Provisional days are Sundays (weather permitting). Pat
will contact people direct about this.
Report Writers Session.
Tuesday 4th November.
Provender Walk at 7.30pm. This is for the collection
of the info folders, and for Harris Matrix training.
Ospringe Findings
Presentation & Display. Wednesday
26th November
Ospringe School Hall at 7.30pm for the findings
presentation & display of the Ospringe 2008 archaeology season.

Worked
Flint Identification and Dating Workshop.
Wednesday 19th November
Provender Walk at 7.30pm. A workshop on worked flint
identification and dating by Geoff Halliwell. Numbers are unavoidably
limited on this so you MUST let Pat know if you are interested in
attending.
Review and Planning Meeting.
Wednesday 3rd December
Fleur Hall at 7.30pm. This meeting will review our
2008 season and discuss our plans for 2009. This is open to both
members, and the general public. It is important that as many as
possible attend the meeting - this is your chance to have your say.
Easter 2009 is Friday 10th April- Monday 13th April, so have a think
about activities over this period, and they can be discussed at the
meeting.
Christmas Party.
